These world-class companies expect us to deliver high quality products that follow their brand guidelines. That's why we are looking for a great Web Developer. 


We have an open mindset and challenge ourselves to constantly change for the better. We are in the transition from startup to scale-up and are putting more structure and processes in place to get to the next level. We're currently at around 25 employees split between Amsterdam and Chicago, and growing.

What will you be doing?
As a Web Developer you have a keen interest in user interface and user experience design (UI/UX). You have a visual way of thinking and know how to translate ideas into code that works in a practical way. You care about structure and transparency. You are eager to learn, improve your skills and help our platform evolve. As a Web Developer you will be part of the Newsroom Development Team, where you:

  • Work on implementing high quality designs for our customers;
  • Collaborate with our Customer Success team to get the best results;
  • Participate in team discussions and planning sessions;
  • Introduce and maintain best practices, structure and quality in code projects;
  • Propose improvements to the platform based on your experiences with customers;
  • Help your colleagues and offer guidance where needed.

Job requirements

  • You have at least 2 years of relevant professional work experience as Web Developer;
  • You possess strong communication skills; Independent and a team player;
  • You are interested in exploring new technologies and techniques;
  • You are an analytical, abstract thinker and can transfer your thoughts well;
  • You prefer practical solutions to problems;
  • Experience with cross-browser development and responsive layouts;
  • Design is important to you;
  • You are fluent in English.

What about your skills? 

  • SCSS, CSS3, Flexbox;
  • JavaScript and JQuery;
  • HTML5;
  • Git and GitHub.

Nice to haves: 

  • Familiarity with Scrum and Agile;
  • Experience in management of browser cookies;
  • Interest in modern JavaScript-related programming languages such as ES6, TypeScript, etc;
  • Affinity with modern frameworks such as Vue, Angular, etc.
